Do you know someone that has fought the brave fight against serious mental illness? They deserve recognition and applause. Do nominate them or let them know of the Reintegration Awards. These prestigious annual awards, now in their 15th year, recognize individuals living with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder who battle tremendous odds to live full lives and those who treat, support, and advocate for these individuals.

The 2012 Reintegration Awards, coordinated by the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare and supported by Eli Lilly and Company, feature 9 categories. Individuals living with schizophrenia are recognized for achievement, artistic contribution, and mentorship. Treatment teams, programs, and services are recognized for contributions in advocacy, clinical medicine, employment, education, housing, and social support. First place winners in each category receive a grant of $10,000-and second place winners a grant of $5,000 each-donated to the organization of their choice.

The deadline for nominations is Jan 31, 2012. Submissions guidelines and forms are at http://www.thenationalcouncil.org/cs/reintegration_awards.
