Priorities

COMMENTARY

During my daily devotion this morning, I came across the Greek word aparneomai, which means to forget one’s self and one’s own interest. As I reflected on the meaning of this term, I could not help but think about the incessant polarization and political greed that has replicated rapidly, like with the COVID-19 delta variant. I remain aghast that our society has prioritized their personal agendas over humanity, especially as it relates to our most vulnerable population: children. I hope and pray that we consult our conscience daily and invite humanity into our hearts in all of its beauty.

I will leave you with some food for thought in the form of an haiku:

Covidland sniffles

Delta rapidly divides
