OCD: Current Research and Future Directions

In this podcast, H. Blair Simpson, MD, PhD, and Moira A. Rynn, MD discuss current clinical research and the future of treatment options for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). They address the biology and the brain mechanisms related to OCD symptoms, as well as new research initiatives. Also discussed are elements of the NIMH Research Domain Criteria (RDoC) project, as well as a look at clinical trials currently underway.

Dr Simpson is Director of the Anxiety Disorders Clinic and the Center for OCD and Related Disorders at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Medical Center. Dr Rynn is Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Pediatric Anxiety and Mood Research Clinic at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Medical Center in New York.
