NOTES FROM PRAGUE: A EUROPEAN PERSPECTIVE

March 4, 2012

It's 4:15 pm, or should I say it's 16:15? I just came out of the symposium on common factors of therapeutic change in psychiatry and psychotherapy at the 20th European Congress of Psychiatry. This was an update on the ongoing Taxonomy project, which is an attempt to characterize the association between common factors and specific psychotherapeutic techniques.

When I came out, the sun was finally out--I haven't been outside since I got here this morning, but the windows are floor to ceiling and the views spectacular--especially when the sun comes out!

I'm off soon to the presentation on music therapy and music medicine interventions in psychotherapy. Music therapy doesn't seem to be too much in the forefront of US psychotherapy--perhaps it is and I've been missing something?
