Two new online resources that neurologists should be aware of include a portal on seizure preparedness at Epilepsy.com and a Web site on migraine care and practice management.

The seizure preparedness resource, which was sponsored through an unrestricted grant from Valeant Pharmaceuticals, can be directly accessed at www.epilepsy.com/epilepsy/preparedness.html. It consists of a series of modules meant to educate patients and their families about efficient self-care.

The Web site www.topamax360.com, sponsored by Ortho-McNeil Neurologics, promises to "provide tools that expand beyond information about Topamax [topiramate]," according to a press release. It is touted as being the first migraine Web site specifically designed for health care professionals and focuses on improving practice management.

Among the site's offerings are podcasts and Web seminars on a broad range of topics related to practice management and professional development.
