POETRY FOR INCLUSION
God’s disciples commune
at an A-Town arc table.
A heavenly feast bent toward
infinite humanity.
A homecoming for
a cerebral spirited King.
Pinto bean soup
a comfort starter
infused with restorative
justice spices
A pleasant inviting
aroma for nasal passages
once obstructed by
lingering repugnant odor
of Jim Crow.
Crispy fried chicken
inoculated with
equitable health.
Collard greens
seasoned with the
fortitude of Rosa.
Sapid sweet potatoes
saturated with the
poetic justice of Langston.
Piquant pious pecan pie
Sagacious slices longing
for reformed tastebuds
filled with content of character
and love.
