Thoughts and prayers
A desensitized refrain playing
on America’s blood tinged
broken record player.
Massacre is the new tune
creating otosclerosis.
Generations of humanity
shattered by chronic
political greed.
Life seems trivial and
malnourished.
An unrelenting nightmare
for red white and blue inhabitants.
Hemorrhaging hearts in
schools, churches, and grocery stores
lament with exasperation.
A solemn plea from pale vessels
for reflective reform
Morality crippled by
divisive rhetoric and
sedentary actions
Congressional sloths,
enough is enough!
