Ceasefires and Outer and Inner Wars

Psychiatry & Society

H. Steven Moffic, MD, discusses the history of ceasefires and war as they relate to current events. Additionally, how do ceasefires apply to other aspects of life, like in family fights or in divorced parents?

The keys to a successful ceasefire are:

  • To maintain love always.
  • To provide no shame or humiliation.
  • To try to understand the underlying issue.
  • Trust each other to work things out for mutual benefit.

"Stop, if not in the name of love, in the name of peace..."
