What Can Be Done About Anxious and Violent Men?

During National Men’s Health Month, take time to consider the unique mental health needs of male patients.

June is National Men’s Health Month, and of course that includes men’s mental health too. Unfortunately, men often neglect their mental health, leading to substance abuse, violence, and other harmful behaviors.

In this Mental Health Minute, Russell Kennedy, MD, talks about why men avoid seeking treatment and what psychiatrists can do to help them when they finally walk through the office door.

Dr Kennedy is a physician specializing in the treatment of anxiety. He is the author of Anxiety Rx: A New Prescription for Anxiety Relief from the Doctor Who Created It.
